Stephen L. Shapiro

Steve Shapiro is a landscape architect and founding principal of Shapiro Didway Landscape Architecture. Steve earned his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Florida in 1973 and completed graduate work at the University of Oregon in 1978. Prior to opening Shapiro Didway Landscape Architecture, Steve worked under renowned landscape architect Robert Murase, where he attained an intuitive expertise and understanding in designing with stone and creating spaces of balanced composition and visual intrigue.

Steve brings more than twenty-five years of design and construction experience to a wide range of urban design, transportation, recreation, multi-family, medical and educational projects. He leads a small design office where he is personally involved in all aspects of project design, management and construction. Steve is a LEED Accredited Professional (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design).
