Vivian Stringer Natural Toddler and Infant Playgrounds

Vivian Stringer Natural Toddler and Infant Playgrounds
Project description
Beaverton, OR

Two play areas, a toddler and infant, were recently redesigned by SD within the Vivian Stringer Child Care Facility.  Within each area nature and natural products were of premium importance.   The new toddler area features sand exploration, a large musical instrument, and a multitude of textures in the form of grassy areas, stepping stones, logs, and a rock wall.  Re purposed log rounds, river rock, and oak poles have been added for the children to independently explore and use freely.  The infant area consists of grass mounds, stone pavers set in a labyrinth like pattern, water feature, and willow tunnels.
