The entry garden at Music Box balances privacy with the long views that define the hillside site. An elevated boardwalk carries the arrival sequence across a planted stormwater garden, making water management part of the experience. Planting screens the residence while maintaining views toward Forest Park and the distant Cascade Range.
“Against the blackened wood, the planting brings movement and texture, while natural boulders give the garden weight.”
