At Nike’s Vivian Stringer Child Care Facility, play is organized around discovery. Two landscapes designed for toddlers and infants use logs, river rock, grass mounds, sand, sound, water, stepping stones, and willow tunnels to create tactile experiences children can navigate at their own pace. Natural materials and open-ended play allow the same elements to support different ages, abilities, and ways of exploring.
